I was a huge fan of the originals, so when the prequels came a long, they didn’t click for me — and I remember the broken heart thing being one of the things that I wasn’t a fan of. But your essay does provide a different perspective, as I didn’t know about broken heart disease and that’s an interesting way of looking at it.
