When you line all of these up, there does seem to be a common trope happening — and it's interesting to look at. I agree that there are other emotions that could be explored — rage, jealousy, loneliness, and so many other possibilities.

As a side note, I really loved Talk to Me despite the way it slows a bit in the second half.
